Ingredients
- 1 shot espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1–2 teaspoons sugar (optional)
- Pinch of cocoa powder or cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Brew a fresh shot of espresso and pour it into a cup.
- Heat the milk in a saucepan or using a frother until hot but not boiling.
- Froth the milk until it becomes light and foamy.
- Pour the steamed milk over the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon.
- Spoon the foam gently on top to create a thick layer.
- Add sugar if desired and sprinkle cocoa powder or cinnamon on top.
- Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- Whole milk produces the creamiest and most stable foam.
- Use a milk frother or whisk to achieve thick foam.
- Adjust espresso strength based on preference.
- Plant-based milk like oat or almond can be used, though foam may differ.
- Best enjoyed fresh for optimal texture and flavor.
