Ingredients

  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until tender.
  2. Reserve a small amount of pasta water before draining the pasta.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and dried basil.
  5. Cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  8. Add the butter and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes.
  9. Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the skillet until evenly coated.
  10. Stir in parmesan cheese and add reserved pasta water if needed.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
