Ingredients
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups crushed vanilla sandwich cookies or white cake crumbs
- 12 oz white chocolate or white candy melts
- Mini chocolate chips or black edible pearls (for eyes and buttons)
- Orange sprinkles or icing (for noses)
- Colored icing, fondant, or sprinkles (for scarves and hats)
- Lollipop sticks or toothpicks (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in crushed cookies or cake crumbs until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into balls, making two sizes for each snowman—one small for the head and one larger for the body.
- Place the balls on a tray and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt white chocolate or candy melts until smooth.
- Dip each ball in the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place on parchment paper to set.
- Once set, attach a small ball to a large one using melted chocolate or a toothpick.
- Decorate with mini chocolate chips or edible pearls for eyes and buttons, orange sprinkles or icing for noses, and fondant or icing for scarves and hats.
- Let decorated truffles set completely before serving or storing.
Notes
- Use chocolate sandwich cookies for a cookies-and-cream variation.
- Chill thoroughly before dipping and assembling to maintain shape.
- Add crushed candy canes for a peppermint twist.
- Color white chocolate for pastel snowmen variations.
- Fondant works great for detailed decorations like earmuffs or hats.
