Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast (cut into small bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Place chicken pieces in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg.
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dip into the egg, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
