Ingredients
- 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1–2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest (optional)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup ice (optional)
Instructions
- Add blueberries and avocado to a blender.
- Add yogurt, milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- If too thick, add more milk and blend again until desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon level as needed.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
Notes
- Add spinach for extra nutrients without altering flavor significantly.
- Mix in protein powder for a protein boost.
- Add chia seeds or flaxseeds for extra fiber and texture.
- Use frozen blueberries for a thicker, colder smoothie.
