Ingredients
- 1/2 lb extra-lean ground beef or ground turkey
- 2–3 large low-carb or whole wheat tortillas
- 1/2 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- Olive oil spray
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: diced tomatoes, hot sauce
- Optional: small corn tortilla or low-point tostada for added crunch
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until fully browned, then remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together light mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to make the burger sauce.
- Lay out a tortilla and add a spoonful of sauce in the center. Layer with cooked beef, shredded cheese, diced onions, pickles, and lettuce.
- If using, place a small crisp tortilla or tostada on top for extra crunch.
- Fold the tortilla edges inward, working in a circle to form a sealed wrap.
- Spray a skillet with olive oil spray and place the wrap seam-side down over medium heat.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy.
- Slice and serve hot with extra sauce or your favorite light dip.
Notes
- Swap beef for ground turkey or veggie crumbles for a lighter or meatless option.
- Add jalapeños or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Use taco seasoning and salsa for a taco-inspired twist.
- Reheat in a skillet to keep the crunch; avoid microwaving.
- Bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes if preferred over pan-frying.
