Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey (at least 7% fat for juiciness)

2 tbsp ketchup or mayonnaise (see note)

2 tbsp grated onion

1 tsp mustard (only if using mayonnaise)

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

4 burger buns

Toppings of choice: lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, etc.

Instructions

Place ground turkey in a mixing bowl. Add ketchup and grated onion, or mayonnaise, mustard, and grated onion (depending on flavor preference). Season with salt and pepper. Mix gently until just combined—do not overmix.

Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.

Heat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

Place patties on toasted buns and add desired toppings.

Serve immediately while hot and juicy.

Notes

Add fresh herbs, hot sauce, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, or smoked paprika for a twist.

Store cooked patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze uncooked patties for up to 2 months.
