Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

Salt and ground black pepper to taste

1 (16 ounce) package frozen tater tots

2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until fully browned and crumbly (about 7-10 minutes). Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Once the beef mixture is combined and heated through, transfer it into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread the mixture evenly across the dish.

Add Tater Tots and Cheese: Layer the frozen tater tots evenly over the beef mixture. Then, sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots.

Bake: Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 30-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is hot throughout.

Serve and Enjoy: Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm! Leftovers are just as delicious.

Notes

Make it Veggie-Friendly: Add frozen peas, corn, or diced bell peppers to the ground beef mixture for extra veggies.

Soup Variations: If you don’t have cream of mushroom soup, substitute with cream of onion or cream of chicken soup.

Spicy Kick: Add chili powder, hot sauce, or crushed red pepper flakes for some heat.
