Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 lb hot Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or garlic oil (for brushing)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, to taste)
  • 23 tbsp honey (for drizzling)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 10–12 inch round on a piece of parchment paper.
  3. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano or Italian seasoning.
  4. Top evenly with shredded mozzarella, followed by crumbled hot sausage and feta cheese.
  5. Transfer the pizza (with parchment) onto the preheated stone or baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle generously with honey. Add red pepper flakes if desired for extra heat.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.
