Ingredients

  • Garlic Noodles:
  • 8 oz spaghetti or egg noodles
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ cup chicken broth or reserved pasta water
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Surf & Turf:
  • 2 ribeye steaks (or sirloin), about 8 oz each
  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles: Boil noodles until al dente. Drain and reserve ¼ cup of pasta water.
  2. Prepare steak: Pat steaks dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Sear in 1 tbsp olive oil + 1 tbsp butter for 3–4 minutes per side. Let rest, then slice.
  3. Cook shrimp: In the same skillet, cook seasoned shrimp in remaining olive oil and butter for 1–2 minutes per side until opaque.
  4. Make garlic noodles: In a new skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce (if using), brown sugar, and broth. Add noodles and toss to coat. Mix in Parmesan and green onions.
  5. Assemble: Plate noodles and top with steak and shrimp. Garnish with more green onions, Parmesan, and lemon.
