Ingredients

  • Garlic Noodles:
  • 8 oz spaghetti or egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or reserved pasta water
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Surf & Turf:
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 8 oz each) or sirloin
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil noodles in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Pat steak dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and butter. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. In a clean skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce (if using), brown sugar, and broth or pasta water. Stir in cooked noodles until coated. Add Parmesan and green onions.
  5. Plate noodles, top with sliced steak and shrimp. Garnish with more Parmesan, green onions, red pepper flakes (optional), and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Noodle Alternatives: Try ramen, rice noodles, or linguine if preferred.
  • Steak Swaps: Sirloin or New York strip also work well.
  • Fish Sauce: Optional, but adds depth—can be replaced with extra soy or oyster sauce.
  • Add-Ins: Sautéed mushrooms, bok choy, or spinach make great additions.
  • Spice Level: Adjust with chili flakes, chili oil, or sriracha for more heat.
