Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
- Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 6–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and let rest before slicing into strips.
- In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream, butter, and lemon juice. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat.
- Top with sliced Cajun chicken and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Swap chicken for Cajun shrimp for a seafood twist.
- Add sautéed bell peppers or spinach for more vegetables.
- Use zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash for a low-carb version.
- Add cayenne or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Mix in mozzarella or cream cheese for a richer sauce.
