Ingredients
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
For topping:
- ½ cup strawberry or raspberry jam
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Stir in the warm milk and olive oil until a sticky dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a greased baking pan and gently stretch it to fit. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes until slightly puffy.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). After resting, use your fingers to dimple the dough. Spoon small dollops of jam into the dimples.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter while warm.
- Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle generously over the top. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Try different jams like apricot or blueberry.
- Add a drizzle of vanilla glaze for extra sweetness.
- For a citrusy twist, mix lemon zest into the cinnamon-sugar topping.
