Ingredients

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

For topping:

  • ½ cup strawberry or raspberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Stir in the warm milk and olive oil until a sticky dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough to a greased baking pan and gently stretch it to fit. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes until slightly puffy.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). After resting, use your fingers to dimple the dough. Spoon small dollops of jam into the dimples.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter while warm.
  5. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle generously over the top. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Try different jams like apricot or blueberry.
  • Add a drizzle of vanilla glaze for extra sweetness.
  • For a citrusy twist, mix lemon zest into the cinnamon-sugar topping.
