Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 pound beef sirloin, cut into 2-inch strips (flank steak or skirt steak also work)

1 ½ cups fresh broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, cut into matchsticks

2 carrots, thinly sliced

1 green onion, chopped

1 teaspoon minced garlic

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

Heat the Pan: In a large wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Stir frequently for even cooking.

Add the Veggies: Add broccoli, red bell pepper, and carrots to the skillet with the beef. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.

Add Garlic and Soy Sauce: Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in soy sauce and toss everything to coat.

Add Sesame Seeds and Green Onions: Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the stir-fry. Toss to combine.

Serve: Serve hot over steamed rice or lo mein noodles for a complete meal.

Notes

Feel free to add extra vegetables like mushrooms, snap peas, or zucchini.

You can swap the beef for chicken, pork, or tofu for a different protein.

Add chili flakes or a dash of sriracha for some heat if desired.
