Ingredients

¼ cup orange juice

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 clove garlic, minced

½ teaspoon chopped fresh oregano

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

4 (4-ounce) tuna steaks

Instructions

Make the Marinade: In a large non-reactive dish, mix the orange juice, soy sauce, olive oil, chopped parsley, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

Marinate the Tuna: Add the tuna steaks to the marinade and turn them to coat evenly. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 1 hour for more flavor).

Grill the Tuna: Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the marinated tuna steaks for 5–6 minutes per side, basting occasionally with the marinade. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 125°F. Adjust the grilling time for your desired doneness.

Serve: Serve the grilled tuna steaks immediately with your favorite sides. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or top with sautéed mushrooms for added flavor.

Notes

Tropical Twist: Add a tablespoon of pineapple juice to the marinade for a sweet, tropical flavor.

Spicy Version: Include chili flakes or hot sauce in the marinade for some heat.

Vegetarian Option: Replace tuna with thick slices of grilled tofu for a plant-based alternative.
