Ingredients
- 1 (3 oz) box flavored gelatin (any flavor)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped fruit, mini marshmallows, or crushed cookies
Instructions
- Dissolve gelatin in boiling water in a large bowl, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Add cold water and stir again. Let cool slightly at room temperature.
- Once cooled but not set, gently fold in whipped cream until smooth and fully combined.
- Mix in fruit, marshmallows, or keep plain as desired.
- Pour mixture into a serving dish or cups. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
- Top with extra whipped cream or fruit before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Use any jello flavor—strawberry, raspberry, orange, or lime work great.
- Make layered versions by letting each layer set partially before adding the next.
- Fold in drained canned fruit like mandarin oranges or crushed pineapple for extra flavor.
- Crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers on top add a nice crunch.
- Best served chilled; do not freeze.
