Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz)
  • 23 tbsp honey
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts (toasted or raw)
  • Optional: fresh rosemary or thyme
  • Optional: 1 sheet puff pastry (for wrapping)
  • For serving: crackers, sliced baguette, or apple slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish or oven-safe plate with parchment paper.
  2. Place the brie wheel in the center. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  3. Optional: Add a small pinch of fresh rosemary or thyme for aroma.
  4. Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and gooey inside.
  5. Let cool for 3–5 minutes before serving with crackers, bread, or fruit.
  6. Optional puff pastry version: Wrap the brie in a puff pastry sheet, seal edges, and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden. Drizzle honey and nuts on top after baking.

Notes

  • Swap walnuts with pecans or mix in a spoonful of fig or apricot jam for variation.
  • Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt or dried cranberries for contrast and color.
  • Assemble ahead and bake just before serving for best results.
  • Leftovers can be spread on toast or crackers the next day.
