Ingredients

1 prepared 9-inch chocolate pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

6 ounces block-style cream cheese, room temperature

1 cup powdered sugar, sifted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

25 ounces frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed and divided (3 tubs: 1 for cream cheese layer, 1 for chocolate layer, 4 ounces for garnish)

4.65 ounces Hershey’s milk chocolate bars (about three 1.55-ounce bars), plus an additional bar for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer:

In a medium-sized bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gently fold in 1 tub (8 ounces) of thawed whipped topping until fully combined.

Spread the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared chocolate pie crust.

Prepare the Chocolate Layer:

Microwave Hershey’s chocolate bars in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
