2 cups shredded cooked chicken
2 cups cooked white rice
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 packet French onion soup mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Casserole Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup mix, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined.
Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread it evenly and sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the casserole is heated through.
Serve and Enjoy: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
You can add cooked vegetables like broccoli, peas, or spinach to boost the nutritional value.
For a lighter version, swap out the sour cream for Greek yogurt.
Feel free to use different cheeses, such as mozzarella or gouda, for variety.
