These fresh peach fritters are golden and crisp on the outside with a tender, fruit-filled center. Juicy peaches are folded into a cinnamon-spiced batter, fried to perfection, and drizzled with a sweet vanilla glaze—perfect for summer breakfasts, brunches, or desserts.
2 cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¾ cup milk
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp melted butter
2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced
Oil for frying
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
Heat oil in a deep skillet or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined.
Gently fold in diced peaches.
Using a spoon or small scoop, drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil. Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel–lined plate.
For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Dip or drizzle fritters with glaze while still warm, letting excess drip off.
Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth.
Pecans or walnuts add crunch.
Nectarines or canned peaches (drained) can be substituted when fresh peaches aren’t available.
