Ingredients

20 wonton wrappers

8 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup fresh strawberries, diced and patted dry

Vegetable oil, for frying

Optional: chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or ice cream for serving

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries.

Place 1 tsp of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold into a triangle or bundle, and press to seal tightly.

Heat 1–2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).

Fry wontons in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm. Add chocolate or caramel sauce or a scoop of ice cream, if desired.

Notes

Add a pinch of cinnamon to the filling for a cozy flavor boost.

Swap strawberries with blueberries, raspberries, or peaches.

Mix in a swirl of strawberry jam for added sweetness.

For a lighter version, bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.

Drizzle with melted white chocolate for extra flair.

Seal edges well using water or beaten egg to prevent leaking.

Always pat strawberries dry to reduce excess moisture in the filling.

To air fry: brush wontons with oil and cook at 375°F for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
