Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1–2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped or whole leaves
- 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shaved or grated
- 2 sandwich buns or ciabatta rolls
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for toasting bread)
Instructions
- Pound chicken to even thickness and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dredge chicken in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Let rest.
- Toast sandwich buns in a skillet or oven with olive oil or butter until golden.
- Spread Caesar dressing on both sides of the bun. Layer with lettuce, crispy chicken, more dressing if desired, and Parmesan.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve warm.
Notes
- Use grilled chicken for a lighter version.
- Mix Caesar dressing into breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
- Turn it into a wrap with large tortillas or flatbread.
- Add sliced tomatoes for more freshness and texture.
