Ingredients

4 cups peeled, diced apples (about 4 medium apples)

½ cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium saucepan, combine the diced apples, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the apples are tender and the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes). Set aside to cool slightly.

Open the can of cinnamon rolls and unroll the dough. Cut each cinnamon roll into strips.

In a baking dish, layer the cinnamon roll strips at the bottom to create a crust. Spoon half of the apple filling over the cinnamon rolls.

Repeat the process with another layer of cinnamon rolls, followed by the remaining apple filling.

Top with a final layer of cinnamon roll strips and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.

Drizzle the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls on top for extra sweetness.

Notes

For added crunch and flavor, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts between the layers.

Feel free to swap apples for pears or peaches for a fruity twist.
