Ingredients
- 12 slider buns or dinner rolls
- 2 cups cooked chicken tenders or breaded chicken cutlets (cut to fit buns)
- 1½ cups marinara sauce
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Slice buns horizontally, keeping tops and bottoms attached. Place bottom halves in the baking dish.
- Add a piece of cooked chicken to each bun. Top with marinara, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Place top buns over the filling.
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush over bun tops.
- Bake uncovered for 15–18 minutes, until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
Notes
- Use grilled or buffalo chicken for variation.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for extra crispness.
- Hawaiian rolls add a touch of sweetness.
- Swap mozzarella for provolone or add fresh mozzarella slices for an upgrade.
