Ingredients

3 cups cooked chicken (shredded or cubed)

1 stick butter (melted)

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup self-rising flour

1 cup milk

1 can cream of chicken soup

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

Spread cooked chicken evenly in the dish and drizzle melted butter over it.

In a bowl, whisk self-rising flour and milk until smooth. Pour evenly over the chicken without stirring.

In another bowl, whisk chicken broth and cream of chicken soup until combined. Pour over casserole without stirring.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until the top is golden and edges are bubbly.

Notes

Add chopped carrots or celery to the chicken layer for extra nutrition.

Substitute cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom or cream of celery for variation.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top before baking for a cheesy twist.

Make your own self-rising flour by mixing all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt if needed.
