Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning or homemade spice blend
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste or 1/4 cup salsa (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar, mozzarella, or cheese blend
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 12 tbsp olive oil or butter (for toasting)
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sour cream, hot sauce, pickles

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, chopped onion, and garlic. Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked.
  2. Drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning and tomato paste or salsa with a splash of water.
  3. Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens and becomes flavorful.
  4. Lay tortillas flat. Sprinkle shredded cheese down the center of each.
  5. Spoon beef mixture on top of the cheese. Add optional toppings if using.
  6. Fold sides and roll tightly into wraps or burritos.
  7. Heat a skillet with olive oil or butter. Toast each wrap until golden and crisp on both sides, starting seam-side down.
