Ingredients
- 300g spaghetti
- 400g ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups tomato sauce or marinara
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 cup ricotta or cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Optional: fresh parsley or basil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan and cook chopped onion until soft.
- Add garlic and cook briefly, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta or cream cheese with sour cream until smooth.
- Combine cooked spaghetti with half of the cheese mixture.
- Layer spaghetti mixture in a baking dish.
- Add beef sauce evenly over the pasta.
- Spread remaining cheese mixture on top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheese over everything.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest slightly, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve.

- Add vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Use ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Include red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Ensure enough sauce to prevent dryness.
