Ingredients

  • 300g spaghetti
  • 400g ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups tomato sauce or marinara
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup ricotta or cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • Optional: fresh parsley or basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan and cook chopped onion until soft.
  4. Add garlic and cook briefly, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix ricotta or cream cheese with sour cream until smooth.
  7. Combine cooked spaghetti with half of the cheese mixture.
  8. Layer spaghetti mixture in a baking dish.
  9. Add beef sauce evenly over the pasta.
  10. Spread remaining cheese mixture on top.
  11. Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheese over everything.
  12. Bake for 25–30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Let rest slightly, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve.
