Baked Chicken Stuffed Crescent Rolls are a quick, comforting meal with tender shredded chicken, creamy cheese, and flaky crescent dough. Perfect as a main dish or appetizer!
For the Filling:
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Crescent Roll Dough:
1 package of crescent roll dough (usually 8 rolls)
Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the crescent roll dough package (usually 375°F).
In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
Unroll the crescent dough on a baking sheet and pinch the seams together to form a solid sheet of dough.
Scoop a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture onto each crescent roll triangle. Roll up the dough around the filling, starting from the wide end, and place them seam side down on the baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Make-Ahead Option: You can prepare the chicken mixture and assemble the rolls, then refrigerate them for later baking. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
Substitutions: Feel free to use different cheeses, spices, or dough types like puff pastry or biscuit dough.
Freezing: Unbaked rolls can be frozen. Assemble them, freeze on a baking sheet, and transfer to a freezer-safe bag. Bake from frozen, adding extra time as needed.
